Theoniek graduated from Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam in 1990. He was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to continue his studies at Parsons School of Design in New York City where he spend four years altogether.
His background is in graphic design but he is also experienced in developing interior projects. Analytical mind with a can do attitude.
He spend more than 25 years working in the design industry. He lived and worked in the US, Mexico and the Netherlands and completed projects in quite a few other places.
In 2009 he set up his design practice studio brandis.
Theoniek regularly teaches workshops in brand identity.
Amongst others at Altos de Chavon in the Dominican Republic and at GMI Designschool in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
In the nineties he spend two years teaching design and illustration at Universidad de las Américas in Puebla, Mexico.
